The main idea
В английском Present Perfect связывает прошлое и настоящее.
Действие произошло раньше, но оно важно сейчас.
Present Perfect Simple: fact, experience, result
Форма: have/has + V3
Use | Объяснение по-русски | Example |
|---|---|---|
Experience | говорим о жизненном опыте без точного законченного времени | I have visited Paris. |
Unfinished past / state up to now | ситуация началась раньше и продолжается до сих пор | I have lived here for 5 years. |
Recent action with a result now | действие только что завершилось, и результат важен сейчас | I have just finished. |
Часто с: already, yet, just, ever, never
Examples:
- I have already applied for the job.
- She hasn’t graduated yet.
- Have you ever traveled abroad?
- He has never won a competition.
- We have just moved.
Если в предложении есть finished past time — yesterday, last year, in 2019 — обычно нужен Past Simple, а не Present Perfect.
Present Perfect Continuous: process, duration, ongoing activity
Форма: have/has been + V-ing
Use | Объяснение по-русски | Example |
|---|---|---|
Duration emphasis | важна длительность действия | I have been studying English for 3 years. |
Ongoing / temporary activity | действие началось раньше и всё ещё продолжается | It has been raining all day. |
Process more important than result | фокус не на результате, а на самом процессе | She has been working hard recently. |
Главная идея:
- Simple = факт / результат
- Continuous = процесс / длительность
Compare:
Focus | Example |
|---|---|
result | I have painted the room. |
activity / process | I have been painting the room. |
A quick visual contrast
Timeline idea | Best form | Example |
|---|---|---|
past experience at any time before now | Present Perfect Simple | I have tried extreme sports. |
action started in the past and still continues, focus on duration | Present Perfect Continuous | I have been learning English for three years. |
state from past until now | usually Present Perfect Simple | I have lived here for five years. |
С глаголами состояния (know, like, love, believe) Continuous обычно не используется.
Поэтому: I have known him for years, не I have been knowing him for years.
For, since, and How long...?
for + period = период времени
since + starting point = точка начала
Pattern | Русское объяснение | Example |
|---|---|---|
for + period | сколько времени | for 5 years, for a long time, for two months |
since + starting point | с какого момента | since 2020, since Monday, since I was a child |
Question:
- How long have you lived here?
- How long have you been working there?
Short answers:
- I have lived here for six years.
- I have been working there since 2022.
Important Russian comparison
В русском языке часто используется настоящее время:
Я живу здесь 5 лет.
В английском нужен Present Perfect:
I have lived here for 5 years.
Не говорим: I live here 5 years.
Russian meaning | Wrong in English | Better English |
|---|---|---|
ситуация началась раньше и продолжается сейчас | I live here 5 years. | I have lived here for 5 years. |
длительное действие до настоящего момента | I am studying English since 2021. | I have been studying English since 2021. |
пропущен вспомогательный глагол | She never visited London. | She has never visited London. |
Popular mistakes
Problem | Why it happens | Better model |
|---|---|---|
I live here for 5 years. | калька с русского настоящего времени | I have lived here for 5 years. |
I am living here for 5 years. | смешение Continuous с длительностью до настоящего момента | I have lived here for 5 years. |
I have seen him yesterday. | Present Perfect с finished past time | I saw him yesterday. |
She is knowing him for years. | Continuous со stative verb | She has known him for years. |
He has gone to Paris twice. | путаница been/gone | He has been to Paris twice. |
