Vibe mode: the Unsorted bin

Every new lesson — and every instant lesson — lands automatically in your Unsorted bin, labelled by language and level (like "English B2"). There's nothing to set up. It's the perfect home for one-offs, experiments, and "let's just try this today" ideas. Teach now, tidy never.

Systematic mode: Courses

A Course is a named container: a sequence of lessons, the students enrolled in it, and a release strategy that decides when each lesson unlocks. It takes a minute to create, and it pays you back every time you reuse it.

The honest trade-off

Unsorted gives you speed, zero commitment, and total freedom — but no progression and nothing reusable. Courses give you consistency, pacing, and lessons you can run with every new student — homework and exercises even assign themselves. The cost is a few minutes of setup and a plan you're willing to follow.

The systematic payoff: release strategies

Once lessons live in a course, you choose how they reach students: all at once (self-paced), by date (cohort-paced), after the previous lesson is passed (sequential mastery), or manual release (high-touch coaching). One setting changes how the whole course feels.

You don't have to choose upfront

This is the part most teachers miss: it isn't a permanent decision. Start in Unsorted. When a lesson works and you find yourself teaching it again, move or copy it into a course from the All lessons view. Your best ad-hoc material graduates into structure exactly when it earns it.

Teacher tip: teach from the Unsorted bin for your first weeks with a new topic. The patterns that repeat are telling you what your course should be — let them, instead of guessing on day one.
